Cavs are done

The Orlando Magic are headed to the Finals for the first time since 1995. If you remember they had another dominate player at center back then..I think his name was Shaq. I was a sophomore in high school then so it has been a while since they have been here. This time they go up against possibly the deepest team in the league. With possibly the best player in the world. Definitely the best still playing since the Magic knocked Lebron and the cavs out of the playoffs last night with a 103-90 victory. As I predicted the cavs won game 5 and gave us cavs fans something to hope for. Unfortunately as I predicted as well the Magic won game 6.

You have to admit that the Magic were the better TEAM. That's what the game is all about. TEAM. The cavs tried to do what they did all year, and that was to have Lebron run everybody over. Well if you play 1 on 5 long enough somebody will show the world your weaknesses, and that's exactly what the Magic did.

I think the Cavs just ran into the wrong team at the wrong time. With a 6-10 point-forward, a 6-10 deep-shooting power forward, and a beast in the post, the Magic posed serious match up problems. While the Cavs were sweeping through the Pistons and Hawks, the Magic struggled at times against the 41-win Sixers and Kevin Garnett-less Celtics. But Orlando saved their best for Cleveland.

Dwight Howard was not only dominant in the post, but he also made 70 percent of his free throws. If the cavs double-teamed him he would simply make an extra pass, and they would hit the three. Witch is what happened the entire series. Did they shot 100 percent from behind the arc? It sure seemed that way.

So now The Orlando Magic will Match up with The L.A. Lakers. A finals that is sure to be great. However I don't think it's the finals the NBA or maybe the NBA fans wanted. Now we have to watch Dwight Howard play Kobe, when surly the NBA was rooting for Cleveland. It's in my mind a ratings dream to have LeBron, and Kobe in the finals, and ratings is just what the NBA needs. Since the Lakers are in it I still think plenty of fans will watch., but I'm sure the NBA is dissapointed. After all why else would they have spent all that money on the commercials.
